Example of microchip search

Microchip codes - ISO, HEXA

Which result is correct? Both results are correct and represent the code of a single microchip. You do not need to deal with converting the codes yourself – our server will perform this work automatically for you.
When you enter a microchip code for search, it will be automatically converted into both ISO and HEXA formats, regardless of the format in which the microchip code was recorded in the database.
Search Results
If the searched microchip code is not found in the database, the server will display a message stating that the microchip with the searched code is not included in the registry. Example message:
123456789012345 - microchip is not included in the Central Registry
If the microchip is found in the Central Registry (microchip with code 0000622F24 is included as a test record, you can try searching for this microchip yourself), the server will return information about the microchip – typically in this form:

| Microchip code | In the result, the entered microchip code is repeated for clarity. If the microchip code can be expressed in both hexadecimal and ISO format, both representations are shown in the result. This is to prevent confusion if the microchip code is found in a different format than the one used for the search. The difference between ISO and HEXA formats is explained earlier on this page. |
| What is marked | Information about what is marked with the microchip — in the example, this is a test record where the microchip is assigned to a plush teddy bear. |
| Distributor | The company (or person) that distributed the microchip within the territory of the Czech Republic. |
| Recipient | The company (or person) that took delivery of the microchip from the distributor. |
| Local register | Contact details for the local microchip registry, typically the municipal office or a company authorized to maintain the local register. |
| Collection point | The workplace from which the microchip was entered into the Central Register of Animals and Objects of the Czech Republic. For animals, this usually means a veterinary practice; for bicycles, this may be a service point that installed the microchip, and similar. Under no circumstances does this indicate the location where the lost dog or object is currently located. |
| Owner | Contact details of the owner of the animal or object marked with the microchip, including the date the record was registered. |
Registration in the Central Register of Animals and Objects is a paid service
Change of Owner
When changing the owner, the new registration does not cancel the original registration, but data from both registrations are available. The Central Register of Animals and Objects of the Czech Republic handles the data in the manner shown in the following example
- The first owner registers information about the dog (cat, bicycle, etc.) in the Central Register. After paying the registration fee, the information registered by the first owner is accessible via the search form. The record also contains the registration date.
- The first owner gives (sells) the dog (cat, bicycle, etc.) to the second owner.
- The second owner registers the information about the dog (cat, bicycle, etc.) in the Central Register. After paying the registration fee, both the information registered by the second owner and that registered by the first owner are accessible via the search form.
- If the first owner cancels the registration, only the information registered by the second owner will remain accessible.
